Our 3rd Anniversary

Its been an amazing three years, full of happy memories, since James first appeared on television in the summer of 2003. He had talent with a capital T and his star quality was certainly apparent. In joining jamesfox.biz, we were not only able to participate in an active forum, but also able to work as a team to support him in his professional endeavours with many friendships blossoming as a result. We have been so fortunate that James has actively supported the site by posting messages, performing at exclusive memorable events and generously giving precious items as prizes for the competitions; many raising money for charities to which he has given his personal support. There was a kaleidoscope of exciting events in 2004, with such highlights as Marlows the first party, the razzmatazz of Making Your Mind Up and Eurovision as well as an appearance on Top Of The Pops. James also made his successful theatrical debut in the demanding role of Judas in the National Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, which brought him to the attention of Sir Tim Rice, who praised him for his performance. Acting could now be added to his list of accomplishments. Furthermore, James supported Lulu on her National Tour and performed as support for Wet Wet Wet at the NEC and Wembley. He also kindly performed for us during a website gathering at The Bedford. Another aspect of James career, his sterling work for the CSE in Afghanistan, Iraq, Bosnia and The Falklands resulted in him being asked to perform at the Royal Albert Hall in front of the Queen at the Festival of Remembrance. We were so proud of him. 2005, another hectic year, saw a dream come true, with a recommendation from Sir Tim Rice, James went to New York to audition for the role of Piano Man in the Broadway hit show, Movin Out. We were thrilled to hear that his return ticket had been cancelled, James having gone straight into rehearsals. He was equally excited as he was going to perform music hed first admired as a boy. A website party in Cardiff turned into a Movin Out one, which gave members an opportunity to see how James would be performing the songs. Open and frank as always, he performed them in different stages of rehearsal as well as giving us a further glimpse into his own song writing. James made his debut on Broadway on 6th April 2005, also his Birthday. It was an unforgettable experience for all of us, whether we witnessed it first hand or eagerly awaited news on site. James was phenomenal in the show. He received standing ovations for all his three performances that week. The news quickly reached the site and James made an appearance on one of the Times Square web-cams to wave at those looking at their computer screens back home. It was a fantastic way to help celebrate his success. James then joined the American Tour, but still found time to continue his work for the CSE in addition to a few performances in the U.K., notably during the Henley Festival and also as support for Natasha Bedingfield. Both were brilliantly performed, the latter giving us an insight into a Forces-style gig. 2005 also allowed James to add another string to his bow, co-presenting at the BBC Big Buzz in Rhyl and for CIN in Wrexham, where he performed as well. At both, he looked as if he had being doing it for years, his charismatic, enthusiastic personality shining through. Audiences warmed to him immediately as they always do when he performs. James perfected the role of Piano Man and performed to standing ovations during the Movin Out Tour as seen by a number of website members who made the journey overseas. He received many excellent reviews that can now be read on site. We celebrated his success and were even more thrilled when he had the privilege of meeting Billy Joel, the man that had been the inspiration for his career in music.
We were excited when we heard that James would be performing in the leading role again, when Movin Out came to London. Apart from playing to home audiences, it meant that many more website members would be able to see him perform. During the Press launch in February this year, a personal message of support from Billy Joel was read out. Part of it said: the incredibly talented James Fox will be returning to his home turf. It was great to hear that Billy Joel held James in such esteem. Throughout the West End run, the show received nightly standing ovations, but the response to all of James performances, especially on Opening Night was overwhelming. The audiences thought he was amazing and his powerful performance was the subject of many highly complimentary remarks from the British Press. Kel and Nats with a little help from those on site have produced beautiful Memory Books for James, recording all his achievements. At the moment, we are keenly anticipating the next chapter. James, probably for the first time in the last three years is having a well-earned holiday, but for someone who is so inspired by music, he is also concentrating on writing and recording new material. Throughout these last three years, his song writing has been a constant golden thread that has woven its way behind everything that he has undertaken. His new myspace account has enabled us to hear his latest recordings, so varied in style. Listening to the beautiful melodies has given enormous pleasure.
James with his dazzling array of talents has already achieved so much, but he has deserved every one of these successes with his hard work, dedication and professionalism. For the next phase in his career, he has various options open to him. Our belief in him is as strong as ever, so whatever he decides well be right behind him, offering our support. Long may his career prosper and take him from strength to strength. We are so grateful to James for his continued support on site and also his kindness and generosity. His stunning vocal abilities and emotional interpretation of songs coupled with his outstanding musicianship has moved us to tears, given us goose bumps and sent shivers down our spines, but most of all, has left us in awe of his talent. Thank you, James for giving us the best of times. We wish you more successes and much happiness in the year to come. We are so looking forward to 2006-07, certain that we will all see more of the incredible talent of James Fox.
